Taiwo Double-Wick Tobacco & Vanilla Candle
The first to arrive, full of curiosity and possibility.
Taiwo is a handmade double-wick soy wax candle with warm tobacco, smooth vanilla, rich amber and bright bergamot. Citrus opens the scent, then tobacco, amber and vanilla settle into a warm, softly sweet, woody glow. It's made for slow evenings, intimate gatherings and a cosy home.
The vessel is hand-painted in swirling rings of orange, red, yellow and brown on a cream base, as warm as the fragrance. Two wooden wicks sit side by side, a nod to the twins this collection is named for.
Taiwo is inspired by the first-born Yoruba twin, traditionally seen as the younger, who was sent ahead to taste the world. It celebrates discovery, new beginnings and the courage to take the first step.
Each candle is hand-poured by Aurora Wicks into a one-of-a-kind gypsum and cement vessel, hand-painted by Yomo Studios in Lagos, Nigeria. No two are exactly alike, and it arrives in a matching Ibeji gift box.

Candle Care
Trim both wooden wicks to about 5mm before each burn.
Light both wicks together so the soy wax melts evenly across the surface on the first burn. This helps prevent tunnelling.
Burn for no longer than 3–4 hours at a time.
Keep away from drafts, children, pets and flammable objects.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Stop using the candle when about 1cm of wax remains.
Let the vessel cool completely before handling or repurposing.
A Note on Your Vessel
Every Yomo vessel is individually handmade and hand-painted, so slight variations in colour, pattern and finish are part of its charm. Your candle may resemble the photo, but it will never be an exact replica. Once the candle has finished burning, clean the vessel and reuse it as a decorative jar or keepsake.
A collaboration between Yomo Studios and Aurora Wicks. Two creative practices, brought together through scent and form.
