Welcome to Yomo Studios. By accessing or using our website (latelieryomo.com), purchasing our products, commissioning a custom piece, booking a workshop, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Shipping, Returns & Refunds Policy. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. Who We Are and Eligibility

These Terms are between you and Latelier Yomo, trading as Yomo Studios, a handcrafted art studio based in Lagos, Nigeria (registered business name number 8606548). References in these Terms to “Yomo Studios,” “we,” “our,” or “us” mean Latelier Yomo.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order or make a booking. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must place the order or booking on your behalf and accept these Terms.

2. Use of Our Website and Services

You agree to use our website and services only for lawful purposes.
You must not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to our website or systems, or use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to extract content from it.
You must not provide false information, impersonate another person, or use a payment method that you are not authorised to use.
All content on our website, including text, photographs, artwork, graphics, logos, product designs, and other materials, belongs to Yomo Studios or its respective rights holders and may not be reproduced or used without permission.

3. Orders and Payments

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when placing an order or booking a service.
Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless stated otherwise.
An order is subject to payment confirmation and acceptance by Yomo Studios. We accept an order when we confirm it to you or begin production. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable, we identify an error in pricing or description, or we suspect fraud. If we do, we will refund any payment made for that order.
Custom orders and commissions may require full payment or a deposit before production begins, as confirmed when you place your order.
Payment may be processed through third-party payment providers. Yomo Studios does not intentionally store customers’ full payment card details. Payments may appear on your bank or card statement under our registered name, Latelier Yomo.
Prices, product availability, and product specifications may change from time to time. Changes will not affect orders we have already confirmed.

4. Made-to-Order and Customised Products

Many Yomo Studios products are handmade and made to order. Because these products may be created specifically for an individual customer, and each piece is poured, shaped, and finished by hand, slight variations in colour, texture, finish, or appearance may occur, such as small bubbles, swirls, or differences in tone and translucency. Such variations are part of the handmade nature of the products and do not necessarily constitute a defect. Photographs on our website and social media are for illustration, colours may look different on different screens, and no two pieces will be identical.

For custom orders, you are responsible for the accuracy of the names, text, dates, colours, sizes, and other details you provide or confirm. We produce items as confirmed and cannot accept responsibility for errors in details you supplied or approved.

You confirm that any images, text, logos, or ideas you provide for a custom order do not infringe anyone’s intellectual property or other rights, and that you have permission to use them. We may decline any request that we reasonably believe to be unlawful, infringing, offensive, or unsafe, or that we are unable to produce. This includes designs based on third-party characters, logos, or brands without permission.

Changes and cancellations of custom orders are governed by our Shipping, Returns & Refunds Policy. Customised and made-to-order items cannot be returned or refunded, except where required by applicable law or where an item is defective or not as agreed.

5. Product Care and Safety

Our pieces are handmade decorative and recreational items. To enjoy them safely and keep them looking their best:

Follow any care or safety instructions provided with your item.
Use resin lamps only with the bulb type, wattage, and power supply recommended for the lamp, keep them away from water and moisture, and do not modify the electrical parts.
Keep resin pieces away from prolonged direct sunlight, high heat, open flames, and harsh chemicals, which can cause discolouration, warping, or damage.
Keychains, chess pieces, and other small items contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3 years old. Children should be supervised.

Yomo Studios is not responsible for damage or injury caused by misuse, modification, or failure to follow care and safety instructions. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Processing and delivery timelines are described in our Shipping, Returns & Refunds Policy. Yomo Studios is not responsible for delays caused by third-party delivery providers, customs, incorrect customer-provided delivery information, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Responsibility for an item passes to you on delivery.

7. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by the Yomo Studios Shipping, Returns & Refunds Policy. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to those terms.

8. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers can be redeemed for the products and services described at the time of purchase.
Unless stated otherwise, a gift voucher is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase, after which it expires.
Gift vouchers are not refundable or exchangeable for cash, except where required by law.
Please keep your voucher details safe. We are not able to replace lost or stolen vouchers, or vouchers used by someone else, unless we can verify the original purchase.

9. Workshops, Classes and Events

Bookings

Workshop, private class, group, and event bookings are subject to the terms communicated at the time of booking and to this section.
A booking is confirmed only when we have confirmed it and received payment or any required deposit.
Please give us accurate information for every participant, including ages and any allergies, health conditions, or needs that may affect participation.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you cancel or ask to reschedule at least 72 hours before the session, we will move your booking to another available session or refund what you paid, less any non-refundable deposit or third-party charges.
If you cancel less than 72 hours before the session, or do not attend, the booking is non-refundable, although we may offer to reschedule at our discretion.
Where a workshop or event must be cancelled or rescheduled by Yomo Studios, registered participants will be notified as soon as reasonably possible and offered a new date or a full refund of the amount paid for that session.
Group bookings and private classes may have their own deposit and cancellation terms, which will be communicated at the time of booking.

Participation and Safety

Participants are expected to follow reasonable studio, venue, safety, and conduct rules during workshops and events, and the instructions of our facilitators.
Resin work involves chemicals. Please tell us before the session about any allergies, skin sensitivities, respiratory conditions, pregnancy, or other health concerns, and use the protective equipment we provide.
Participants under 18 must be authorised by a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf. Unless we say otherwise for a particular session, children must be accompanied or supervised by a parent or guardian.
We may ask any participant who behaves unsafely or disruptively to leave, without refund.
Working with tools and materials carries some inherent risk. Participants are responsible for following instructions, and nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Photography and Recording

We may take photographs or video at workshops and events to showcase our work and community on our website and social media. We will ask for your consent, which may be at booking or at the event. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, and we will stop future use, although we may be unable to remove material that has already been published. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

10. Intellectual Property

All Yomo Studios branding, original artwork, product designs, photographs, written content, graphics, logos, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or commercially use these materials without prior written permission.

When you buy a custom piece, you own the physical item, but Yomo Studios keeps all intellectual property rights in its designs, molds, techniques, and creative work unless we agree otherwise in writing. You may not reproduce or commercially resell copies of our designs.

Unless you tell us in writing before or when placing your order that you do not want us to, we may photograph and share finished pieces (without identifying you) in our portfolio, on our website, and on social media.

If you send us content, such as photographs, reviews, or tagged posts, you confirm that you have the right to share it and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to promote Yomo Studios, crediting you where reasonable.

11. Website Availability and Disclaimers

We try to keep our website accurate and available, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Product descriptions, images, and prices may occasionally contain errors, which we may correct at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude any warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Yomo Studios will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of our website, products, workshops, or services. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to an order, booking, or your use of our website will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant product or service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights you have under consumer protection law.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Yomo Studios against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our website, or content you provide that infringes the rights of a third party.

14. Events Beyond Our Control

Yomo Studios is not liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including power outages, fuel or material shortages, supplier delays, transport or courier disruption, strikes, civil unrest, severe weather or flooding, public health emergencies, government action, or failures of internet or payment systems. Where this happens, we will notify you and work to fulfil your order or booking as soon as reasonably possible. If we cannot, we will refund payments made for items or services not delivered.

15. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services. Yomo Studios is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

16. Privacy and Communications

How we collect and use your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By providing your contact details, you agree that we may contact you about your order, booking, or enquiry by email, telephone, messaging apps, or other channels. We send marketing messages only in line with your preferences and the law, and you can opt out at any time.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will take effect when the revised terms are published on our website, unless otherwise stated. Orders and bookings made before a change will be governed by the terms in force when they were placed. Continued use of our website or services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.

18. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.
If we do not enforce a right straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.
These Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Shipping, Returns & Refunds Policy, and any terms confirmed to you for a specific order or booking make up the entire agreement between you and Yomo Studios. If they conflict, the terms confirmed for your specific order or booking apply to that order or booking.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else without our written consent.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it informally and in good faith. If it cannot be resolved within 30 days, the dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. Nothing in this section affects any rights you have under consumer protection laws, including your right to seek help from the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) or another competent authority.
